8th Grade Catch-Up Day

This past week, we learned how to use Microsoft Publisher to make print publications.
  • Make sure you have these three files saved (Flyer, Business Card, Post Card)
  • Think of a "Logo" that you would like to create starting Monday morning.
  • Think of a real or fictitious business you would like to start
Also, this week you were assigned the entire Algebra section of Study Island.
  • The week following spring break, you will be required to finish that section, and earn a "Blue Ribbon" for each of the Algebra lessons.

Working Safely With Computers

Believe it or not, more people visit the doctor each year because of health problems related to improper computer use than almost any other job out there! We will start today with a 20 minute video that demonstrates the RIGHT way to use a computer work station.

If you think the video is boring, make the most out of this brief learning opportunity! It's better than reading 50 pages in an old computer book, right? :)
