Microsoft Word Pretest
There are many aspects to Microsoft Word, and it takes much time and a lot of practice to become a Word Expert. Today you will attempt the pretest below. Some of you may be able to do much of it, others very little. I expect everyone to try their best and show me what you know in Microsoft Word.
- Type your name in a Word Art at the top of the page
- Type the date in Bold, Italic, blue, and align it right.
- Change the font of the date to Arial, size 12.
- Underneath the type (aligned right) type the name of this class.
- Highlight the first word in yellow.
- Type your homeroom below the name of this class and change it to Comic Sans, size 10, blue.
- Type in the following sentence: "Atlanta is the capital of Georgia."
- Color the sentence's letters green.
- Color every second word of the sentence a different color.
- Bold and all caps the word capital in the sentence you typed. Put the word in Arial, 14, black.
- Insert a statement below your sentence that explains what you did this past weekend. This statement must be between 20 and 40 words, Arial font 10, color red and in two columns.
- Insert a picture from clip art below the paragraph you typed.
- Center the clip art and make sure it is not larger than 2" x2".
Type a sentence that says "Gainesville High Red Elephants are the best in the state of Georgia. Our goal is to win the state championship. With the support of our fans, band, and community we can do it.”
- Indent this sentence so it is indented more than other sentences.
- Type a sentence telling of what you hope to learn this class. Make the sentence Tahoma 14, orange.
