Business Portfolio: Mission Statement

MISSION STATEMENT: A formal, short, written statement of the purpose of a company or organization. The mission statement should guide the actions of the organization, spell out its overall goal, provide a sense of direction, and guide decision-making. It provides "the framework or context within which the company's strategies are formulated."

BUSINESS LOGO: A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by businesses, organizations, or even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition. Logos are either purely graphic (symbols/icons) or are composed of the name of the organization (a logotype or wordmark).

8th Grade Team Building

Decide if your team wants to be the 'early bird' or the 'second mouse'.

Your team has 5-10 minutes to develop a 60-second presentation as to why their strategy ('early bird' or 'second mouse') is best for business.

Make use of the knowledge, abilities, and views of all team members in creating the presentations.

So far this school year, we have learned how to use a variety of different software applications that are useful in the business world.

Internet Browser: make websites, research costs/sales, email, marketing.
Word Processing: create various business related documents.
Presentation: create sales presentations, product demos, financial results.
Spreadsheet: track data, sales info, customer data, etc.
Photo/Drawing: unlimited advertisements, graphics, etc.
